Saddle Fitting

Saddle fitting service in Yorkshire

You and your horse are a team, however, that team works best only with a saddle that's right for both of you. This is why we take great care to consider and assess every aspect of you and your mount before and after selecting saddles.

Here's an overview of the process in practice.



Our initial enquiries record: • Preferred callout days and times. • Brief details of the horse saddle requirements. We discuss with you. • New or used saddle. • Type of riding. • Height, breed type, age, condition and fitness of your horse. • Age, gender, build of rider. • Price range. • All other influencing factors. Based on our preliminary information, our saddle consultant will visit you and your horse bringing a selection of saddles to try. Our examination includes using a 'template' to record the shape of your horse's back. This helps us refine our saddle selection and indicates the possibility of future change. We provide you with full documentation recording the details of your horse, saddle and recommendations on future checks.
